The Kwik-Pay award structure allows pay item factors to be over-ridden at award level, to save having to create a multitude of pay items with different factors. See how to set up pay items for more information.

You can define any number of different awards. Each award to split into classifications, which are categories of employees within the award. For instance, a clerical award may have different steps for 'under 18', '18 to 20', '20 and over' and 'manager'. There can be any number of classifications within each award. Classifications are defined separately.

The pay item factors for each award classification are effective dated, which means that the pay item factor will not be used in any calculations until the first pay date on or after the effective date.

To create an award, you must first create an award record, then add Classifications, and finally add an Award Pay Item Factor using this form for each classification.

When you select an award pay item factor for edit, or add a new award pay item factor, the Award Pay Item Factor Edit form is displayed.
