Award Leave Entitlement

The Kwik-Pay award structure allows leave entitlements to be created for groups of employees, saving the chore of updating leave entitlements for individuals when they change. See how to set up leave for more information.

You can define any number of different awards. Each award to split into classifications, which are categories of employees within the award. For instance, a clerical award may have different steps for 'under 18', '18 to 20', '20 and over' and 'manager'. There can be any number of classifications within each award. Classifications are defined separately.

The leave entitlements for each award classification are effective dated, which means that the leave entitlement will not be used in any calculations until the first pay date on or after the effective date.

To create an award, you must first create an award record, then add Classifications, and finally add an Award Leave entitlement using this form for each classification.

Note that the leave entitlement for a classification depends on the number of years of service. The leave entitlement service years is the minimum number of years of service to receive the entitlement.

When you select an award leave entitlement for edit, or add a new award leave entitlement, the Award Leave Edit form is displayed.
