The Kwik-Pay award structure allows common pay rates and leave entitlements to be created for groups of employees, saving the chore of updating pay rates for individuals when they change.
You can define any number of different awards. Each award to split into award classifications, which are categories of employees within the award. For instance, a clerical award may have different classifications for 'under 18', '18 to 20', '20 and over' and 'manager'. There can be any number of classifications within each award. Classifications are defined separately.
The pay rates and leave entitlements for each award classification are effective dated, which means that the pay rate or leave entitlement will not be used in any calculations until the first pay date on or after the effective date.
To create an award, you must first create an award record, then add Classifications, and finally add an Award Rate using this form for each classification.
When you select an award rate for edit, or add a new award rate, the Award Rate Edit form is displayed.
