Pay Item Template Properties define how a pay item is to be processed and categorised for reporting. These define the default properties of a type of pay item.
The property is selected from a drop down list which includes the names of the Properties defined. The properties are pre-defined for most of Kwik-Pay's requirements. You can add extra properties if you wish to analyse you payroll data by different categories, or you have defined special pay item calculations.
The description is defined when the property is set up.
The value depends on the type of property. It could be a checkbox for a yes/no response, an option selected from a drop down list of pre-defined values, or a free-form code.
