When you enter the start and end dates of a spell of leave taken in the pay calculation screen Kwik-Pay will calculate a default number of hours or days for the leave payment. If you maintain the public holidays list , Kwik-Pay will be able to calculate a more accurate figure for the duration of the leave.
The holiday date is the date on which the holiday falls. For Christmas Day it will always be the 25 Dec of the year.
The date taken is the date on which the public holiday is taken. For Christmas Day, it may be the preceding Friday or following Monday if Chrsitmas Day falls on a weekend.
